POSITION: Assistant Coach
Eaton Red Waves is a competitive swim club located in Northern, Colorado and operates with accordance with the guidelines of the USA Swimming. We are seeking a Part time Qualified Experienced Assistant Coach. The hours will be will vary on weekdays from 4:45-830 M-F and attendance at required weekend meets. This position works with swimmers 6-18 years of age, levels ranging from first time swimmers to competitive to the making of elite athletes. This position will be a part of a coaching team and will report directly to the Head Coach.

BACKGROUND:
The Eaton Red Waves operates out of a 6 lane 25 yard pool at the Eaton High School. Eaton is located 25 miles east of Fort Collins, Colorado and 12 miles North of Greeley, Colorado. DUTIES:
The Assistant Coach shall help supervise and manage the Eaton Red Waves Swim Team swimmers during all scheduled practices, swim meets and extra activities.
Oversee seasonal progression of athletes, set goals with swimmers, monitor phases and development with individual swimmers
Instruct swimmers on proper strokes, turns, starts and all other aspects of swimming as needed.
These duties are to be performed in a manner that supports the coaching philosophy and direction of the team as established by the Head Coach.
Establish and maintain relationships and open communication with swimmers and parents.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Competitive Swimming Experience (required)
A strong knowledge of stroke, starts, and turn fundamentals.
Swim Coaching Experience is a must….
Ability to lead, inspire and instruct athletes in and out of the pool.

Candidates must possess, strong communications skills, leadership qualities, and a passion for helping swimmers maximize their potential.

Assistant Coach

Highlands Ranch Aquatics

Highlands Ranch Aquatics (HRA) seeks a part-time assistant coach passionate about teaching and motivating young athletes from developmental to national levels. The position requires a weekly commitment of 6-10 hours, 4-6 days per week plus meets1-2 weekends per month. Duties may include, but are not limited to, developing and administering daily practice plans, and providing constant, specific feedback at practice and meets.

Candidate must be an effective communicator with a positive attitude and a thirst for new knowledge and more effective training and teaching methods. HRA coaches are expected to meet the following standards:

·         Be prepared with daily, weekly and seasonal training plans

·         Make every effort to have THREE touch points with each athlete each training session

·         Provide specific, constructive feedback to the athletes and parents at practices and meets

Athletes will be taught through positive reinforcement skills associated not only with competitive swimming, but those associated with personal responsibility and accountability, sportsmanship and citizenship.

HRA is based in a 100,000 person planned community south of Denver, and trains out of facilities in Highlands Ranch and Littleton, CO. Our program has recently grown to over 110 competitive swimmers including CO State High Point winners and Junior National level athletes. HRA’s mission is to develop the individual athlete within a team-oriented structure. Our objectives are summarized as follows:

·         To provide a safe, positive and challenging learning environment where each athlete is guided from aspiration to achievement.

·         To build our club membership base to allow HRA to become a model program both within the state of Colorado and in the U.S.

·         To promote the sport of swimming in Highlands Ranch and throughout the greater Denver metro area.

Age Group Coach
Fort Collins Area Swim Team

The mission of Fort Collins Area Swim Team is to provide Fort Collins and the surrounding community with a competitive swimming program that creates World Class Character through Excellence in Swimming by being Athlete Centered, Coach Driven and Board Supported.

FAST is a non-profit organization managed by a volunteer Board of Directors, with club membership composed of parents and guardians of FAST swimmers.

The candidate will work with the Head Age Group Coach to create and execute a training plan focused on developmental athletes ages 8 and under.  In addition the candidate will supervise dry land activities, attend regular swim meets, and cover other training groups as the coaching staff needs.  The ideal coach will be self-motivated and excited about the sport of swimming.  A strong background in competitive swimming and prior coaching experience is preferred, but not necessary.  The applicant should have strong communication and interpersonal skills with both adults and children.  The candidate will be USA Swimming certified, but it is not required to apply.  Basic computer knowledge is required to operate our online communication platform and Hytek swimming software.  Regular email correspondence is necessary.

This is a part-time, salaried position of approximately 10 hours per week including some weekends.  The salary will be based on experience and qualifications.  A background check is required.

Position Description

·         Emphasizing to all swimmers the importance of proper technique, teamwork, sportsmanship, learning, and fun.

Life Time Fitness is seeking a head site coach for its Colorado Springs site.  We are seeking someone who is looking to grow and develop the program.  Responsibilities would include running daily practices, administrative duties, and monthly attendance at swim meets.  This is an hourly position with around 20 hours per week, plus swim meets.

Essential Qualifications:

1.      Bachelor’s degree.

2.      Minimum 1-3 years’ experience competitive coaching with demonstrated effectiveness.

3.      Knowledge of Team Unify.

4.      Ability to effectively communicate and be a positive influence on swimmers, parents, and staff.

License and Certification Requirements:

1.      USA Swimming Coach Member.

2.      Valid United States Driver’s License.

3.      Ability to work in the United States.

4.      CPR, First Aid, and Swim Coaches Safety or Lifeguard Certification.

The Fort Collins Area SwimTeam (FAST) which is located in Fort Collins, Colorado is seeking a fulltime head age group coach and a part time assistant coach for its year-round competitive swim team of approximately 250 swimmers.  We are an established USA Swimming program with a 30 year history of success.  Our Bronze Medal program is comprised of developmental swimmers through Olympic Trial qualifiers.

For the full time position we are looking for individuals with 5 or more years experience working with age group swimmers. The candidate should have extensive administrative experience with meet entries, team unify, delegation of assigned duties from head coach, attending and contributing to board meeting, running parent meetings, and other wet and dry side duties. On deck experience should include having coached extensively with multiple 14 and under groups at the state and zone level.

For the part time position we will be looking for a coach with 2 or more years coaching experience, excellent communication skills, knowledge of proper stroke technique, ability to work well in a team, and the ability to bring daily enthusiasm.

Starting salary will be based on qualifications and experience. The full time position will include retirement and medical benefits.    Evenings and weekends will be required.
